Dear Hyde Park Families, 
 
We hope everyone is starting to settle in during this back to school season! This time of year can bring many feelings; scary, excited, anxious, wonder, and even sadness (especially for some of us parents.) It's no wonder we all feel a little 'off' right now! We want all of our children and families to know that you are loved and prayed for within this faith community!

In the month of August, our nursery and preschool children are learning that God loves me. Help teach your children  about the lost sheep by using this week's parent cue - Click here.

This Sunday's Lesson - Aug. 28  

Our nursery and preschool children will be learning through the story of Zacchaeus, Luke 19:1-8 that "Jesus loves them no matter what."

Our elementary students will be learning how Abraham follows God in Genesis 12: 1-5. They will learn
"I should trust and obey, even if I don't know how it will all work out."

Upcoming Training  

Training for all Children's Ministries volunteers who serve on Wednesday nights is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, Wesley Center 306/7. If you plan to attend or need childcare, please RSVP to Kristin Passath. Dinner will be provided.

Upcoming Events 
  • Sept. 4 - Sit Together Sunday for Grades 1-5 at 9:30 and 11.  There will no Sunday Morning Live programming for grades 1-5. Enjoy being in worship together as a family and Happy Labor Day weekend! There is regular SML programming for our nursery care, two year olds, and 3-4-K children.
  • Sept. 7 - Wednesday night programming begins: Jr. Zone (3-4-K), Zone (Grades 1-3), Club 45 (Grades 4-5), 6:30-8 p.m., Wesley Center.
  • Sept. 18 - 3rd grade Bible presentations in worship, 3rd grade Bible Boot Camp begins, 3rd grade Bible Faith Steps parent class begins. Learn more or RSVP here.
  • Sept. 23 - Family Fun Night Kick-Off, 6-8 p.m., Harnish Activities Center. Join us for food, fellowship, and fun (bounce houses, climbing wall, dunk tank and more)! Suggested donation $10/family. RSVP here.
Attention Mothers of Preschoolers!
  • Sept. 6: MOPS meetings resume (1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month), 9:30 a.m. or 6:30 p.m.
  • Sept. 13: MOPS Chat and Craft Resumes (2nd Tuesday of each month), 9:30 a.m.
