In many households, self-centered teen behavior, a "Me, me, me, me!" attitude, is very much a reality. Does your teen seem too wrapped up in self? Watch a short video about this.

When parenting a teen who seems to be more self-focused than he or she should be, tune in to what the real void is they are trying to fill. Acknowledge their natural abilities, value their uniqueness, highlight their spiritual gifts, and reinforce their spiritual identity-who they are in Christ.

Model to your teen the importance of putting others in the limelight rather than seeking attention for themselves. And focus on their character, more than their accomplishments. Above all, pray. These are tough years for your teen as they are trying to find their place in this world, trusting that God will finish the good work He began in your child (Phil. 1:6).

Don't forget I'm here to help, and I am a quick email away. I love serving you and your family through prayer. I'm trusting these lessons are helpful in your parenting endeavors.
Our ministry cares deeply for you and your family, and we love serving you!

Sundays
Sunday Morning
We believe that the best way to create "sticky faith" is by having youth involved in congregational worship and serving in church. We encourage both of these for our students. If not attending worship, students can serve in various ways during the hour they are on campus. If you would like to get your student plugged into serving around campus with Children's Ministries, Open Arms, the Tech Team, ushering or greeting, please contact Emily.
Merge, 6-8 p.m.
Messy Night
We are trying again minus the tropical storm! Bring $5 for dinne rand join us for "Hogwarts Battle for the House Cup."

We will be splitting our youth into 4 teams and compete playing different obstacle courses, water Quidditch and water balloon tosses. It's going to be a gross, icky night that will build memories amongst our youth. Students are encouraged to wear clothing they can get very dirty or even throw away at the end of the night. Parents, please pick up your students with plenty of towels in the car. We will provide free pizza, soda, and chips for those that come this Sunday. It will be a great opportunity to invite your friends and tell them about Merge!

Wednesdays
Middle School Bible Study, 6:30 p.m.
