May is an exciting time for many families--graduations, recitals, art shows, playoffs and more! We in Children's Ministries are preparing to send our 5th grade students onto the next step in their faith journey as they officially move on to Merge Youth Ministry in June.  Please join us in praying for these wonderful kids and the Merge staff and volunteers who will shepherd them this summer!

Impact Children This Summer! 
If you enjoyed worship or a small group this school year while your child or grandchild enjoyed Sunday Morning Live, we ask that you serve one Sunday this summer. You'll impact children's lives while our school-year shepherds take a well-deserved break. We will pair you with another volunteer and make sure you have all the materials you need. You can sign up to serve on Volunteer Spot. Note that kids through 4th grade stay in their current grade throughout the summer months and will "move up" on Aug. 14.
Employment Opportunities in Children's Ministries
Children's Ministries is seeking a part-time Assistant Director-Elementary, a part-time Director-Portico, and a part-time Nursery Attendant. VBS Volunteer Training
All VBS volunteers are asked to attend a one-time training event and appreciation dinner on Tuesday, June 14. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and training begins at 6 p.m. Childcare available with RSVP to Jen Wotsch. 
Attention 5th Grade Families
Some important reminders:
  • Sunday at 9:30: The 5th grade class will attend Youth Sunday service together. Sign in as usual on WC computers and meet your shepherds in WC 301.
  • June 5: 5th graders will be recognized in 9:30 & 11:00 worship. A reception for 5th grade families will be held in room 308/9 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. If you haven't already, please RSVP to Kathy. We don't want to run out of cake or gifts!
  • June 5: Merge Information Night for rising 6th grade parents and kids, 5:30 p.m., Magnolia, followed by "Messy Night" for the kids.
VBS Support
Want to be supportive of VBS, but can't serve as a volunteer? You can still help! You can pray for us, donate snacks for our VBS volunteers, or make a monetary scholarship or supply donation. Snack donations may be dropped off in the Ministry Offices any time M-F, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. or can be dropped at the VBS t-shirt table in the courtyard on Sundays in June. To make a contribution toward VBS scholarships or supplies, simply write "VBS donation" in the memo line of your check and drop it in the offering plate.  Watch this video to see how you can help us decorate, too.
