Ash Wednesday Services this Wednesday

Begin the 40-day season of Lent with Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10. Experience the traditional imposition of ashes in the sign of the cross on your forehead, a nonverbal way we experience God's forgiveness and renewal as we return to Jesus.
- 12:30 p.m. service in the Chapel at The Portico, 1001 N. Florida Ave.
- 6:30 p.m. service in the Sanctuary on Platt Street campus

Duke University Concert Choir Performs March 13

Mark your calendars! Sunday evening March 13 in the Sanctuary, Hyde Park United Methodist will host the Duke University Concert Choir in concert. Proceeds will benefit "Imagine No Malaria," a global effort by the United Methodist Church, United Nations foundation, and other organizations to eradicate malaria once and for all.
New Arrivals at the Aldersgate Bookstore

Visit the bookstore for new Lenten books and Valentine's gifts, including the book our Lenten worship series is based on, Steve Harper's "Five Marks of a Methodist." Also, during the month of February, chocolate flavor will be free in all coffee products.
Food and Fellowship at Wednesday Night Dinner

'Homeless Jesus' Dedication Wednesday at The Portico

The "Homeless Jesus," a life-sized bronze sculpture depicting Jesus as a homeless man asleep on a park bench, will be dedicated at noon this Wednesday, Feb. 10 at The Portico, 1001 N. Florida Ave. Read this May 2015 message about The Homeless Jesus sculpture from then senior pastor, the Rev. Roger Scholtz.

Raise Money for Missions with the Hyde Park Craft Group

Have fun and fellowship while raising money for missions with the Hyde Park Craft Group, no previous experience required! Last year, the group raised $2,000 for missions by selling their goods at the Alternative Christmas Market. Learn more.
