God is Love
During February, our kids will focus on the unconditional love of God and our love of others. Our 2's and 3-4-K kids will hear four gospels stories that remind them that Jesus loves everyone and their memory verse will be "Love each other as I have loved you."-John 15:12. Our 1st-5th graders will focus on the virtue of cooperation and their memory verse will be "Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do."-Ecclesiastes 4:9. Try memorizing these verses along with your kids!

Worship Faith Steps
Blessing

Families who participated in the Worship Faith Steps class had a blessing ceremony on Sunday in the Chapel with their children. We are grateful to Christine and Mike Campo for facilitating this group and for the families who took this important step toward instilling a life-long love of worship in their young children!
Picture Bible Faith Steps
Parents of 2 & 3-year olds

Starts Sunday, 10:45 a.m. Spend three weeks with other parents learning practical steps for sharing your faith with your 2 or 3-year-old child that includes a presentation of a new picture Bible. Register here.  
Family Fun Movie Night
Feb. 19, 6 p.m. All families are invited to join us in the Harnish Activities Center. Enjoy dinner, a photo, concession stand treats and a screening of the movie "Home". Children are welcome to bring stuffed animals, blankets and pillows and come in pajamas. So we have enough food for everyone, please register here.
Ash Wednesday
Feb 10, 6:30 p.m. Zone and Club 45 kids will attend Ash Wednesday services with their shepherds on Feb. 10. Families will check in as usual on the computers in the Wesley Center lobby, then children will join their groups in the courtyard. Watch a short video explaining Ash Wednesday here. 
Sacraments Workshop for Families

Feb. 28, 11 a.m. Parents and their children in grades 2-5 are invited to join pastors and the children's team at a workshop exploring the meaning of the Sacraments in the United Methodist church. We will conclude by celebrating Communion together in the Chapel. Register here.  
Family Service Project

Mar. 6, 10:30 a.m. Parents and their children are invited to participate in a short family service project. Learn about the mission of UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) from the Rev. Clarke Campbell-Evans and stuff a backpack school kit to be used in UMCOR relief efforts. A donation of $10/backpack is requested to cover the cost of the supplies purchased. Registration coming soon.
Warren Willis Summer Camp,
June 20-25
Hyde Park is going to camp during week #2. Church camp is for grades 4-12. Camp costs $420 this year. You can register and put a deposit down online at the Warren Willis website. If you would like to ride the church bus, contact Kathy. Seats are limited and are first come, first served. If you are in need of a scholarship, contact Emily.

Save the date for Cave Quest Vacation Bible School at Hyde Park United Methodist. VBS will be held June 27-July 1. Children wishing to attend will be able to register on our website in mid-April. Want to serve on the Cave Quest exploration team? Adults can sign up here and youth can sign up here. Help us inspire kids to follow Jesus, the light of the world!
