New Appointment for the Rev. Danny Bennett

We have just received word that Bishop Ken Carter and the Cabinet of the Florida Annual Conference will be reappointing Danny Bennett to serve as the interim pastor at Christ United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida, starting Sunday, Nov. 15. Bishop Carter has identified important gifts that Danny can offer that congregation. Read more.

Chancel Choir Benefit Concert Nov. 1
 
The Hyde Park United Methodist Chancel Choir will present a benefit concert at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in the Sanctuary. They will be performing Ola Gjeilo's "Sunrise Mass." An offering will benefit the Drug Abuse Comprehensive Coordinating Office, Inc. (DACCO). Learn more.
10th Annual Alternative Christmas Market Nov. 8

Hyde Park will hold its 10th annual Alternative Christmas Market 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Nov. 8 in the Harnish Activities Center. Donations are needed for the silent auction that will take place during the market. Learn more.

Buy a Manna Bag for the Hungry Sunday

Manna Bags will be sold for $5 this Sunday after every worship service. These bags contain food, Scripture, information on community resources, and more for impoverished individuals. Learn more.
Participate in SERVE Day and Jam the Bug

This November, Hyde Park is partnering with Metropolitan Ministries and there are two opportunities for you to serve:
  • SERVE day at the Metropolitan Ministries tent with some 400 Hyde Park members on Nov. 22. Shifts are filling up fast!
  • "Jam the Bug" by donating jars of peanut butter to Metropolitan Missions on Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 in both the Courtyard and Magnolia Patio.

Children in grades 1-5 are invited to worship with their parents in all services in lieu of Sunday Morning Live. Sanctuary services will feature a children's message from the Rev.
