Middle School Sunday School, Sunday, 9:30 a.m.
Each Sunday our Middle School students are invited to join us in the Magnolia Building as we use Scripture to talk about the ways we can encounter God in our every day life through being intentional and thoughtful about how we live. We meet every Sunday morning with the exception of holiday weekends and the first Sunday of the month when students experience corporate worship and Communion with the church body.

Merge, Sunday 5:30-8 p.m.
No Merge this Sunday due to Mother's Day. We'll see you next Sunday for Movie Night!

Wednesday Night Bible Study- 6:30-8 p.m.
Join us in the Magnolia Building as we discover the Wild Truth about faithful people in Scripture. Each week we will take an adventure back to a Bible story, to explore an ancient experiment in faith, and see what they discovered about God. From there, we will dive into the ways we can experience those same truths in our lives.

Beach Day - Saturday, May 16
We will  leave at 10 a.m. and return at 3 p.m. Things to remember:
  • bagged lunch 
  • beach towel
  • sunscreen
  • one piece bathing suits for girls or a T-shirt to wear over suit. 
Feel free to bring footballs, beach chairs or anything else that might be fun on the beach. Everyone also needs a medical form on file to ride on the bus with us. 

Graduating Seniors - Sunday, May 17, 9:30 a.m.
We will have an insert in the bulletin with information about our seniors. We need the following from you:
  • Head shot 
  • Where are you graduating from?
  • What college are you attending? What is your major?
  • Favorite memory from Hyde Park?
  • How can the congregation pray for you in the years to come?
Please email Emily before Monday, May 11 to have your information included in the Sunday insert.

Youth Tech Workshops - May 3 and 17
We invite all students who are interested in learning about the technical aspects of the Merge worship experience to join us for one or both of these workshops. On May 3, our workshop will cover how to operate the soundboard, balance the sound during worship, and troubleshooting sound issues. On May 17, the workshop will cover how to operate the lighting and projection computers, the basics of ProPresenter software, how to draw focus and create atmosphere with lighting, and troubleshooting visual and lighting issues. If you are interested in attending either of these workshops, or just want more information, please contact Dave. 

Metropolitan Ministries Urban Experience (July 6-9)
Are you looking for an exciting way to get your group involved in short-term missions? Metropolitan Ministries' Urban Immersion initiative provides groups of all types, sizes, and ages a unique opportunity to be immersed in an urban environment. Your group will be exposed to true homelessness and poverty while learning ways to help individually, as a church, or a corporation here in Tampa Bay as well as your own community.

Your experience includes:
  • Face-to-face ministry with homeless and at-risk clients
  • Serving off-campus with local partners
  • Evening service opportunities
  • Praying for families in need
Students will be able to go home at night and return to church in the morning to have a full day of service within our community. This mission week will take the place of our usual "Thursday Serve Day" during the summer. These four days will be trips back and forth to Met Min. We will have daily drop off and pick up times at the Magnolia Building. Students will stay the night at their own homes. We want to encourage students to participate in the whole 4 day experience.

If your student can't attend a day or two, we are not able to subsidize the cost. Please let us know in advance if your student is not able to participate on a specific day, otherwise we will assume your student will be a part of the full 4 day experience.

Summer Camp 
Click here to register for summer camp and reserve your spot for the week of June 15-20, 2015 (week #2). Once you've registered, contact Kathy DiRaimo if you want to reserve a spot on the church bus. Spaces are limited and the church bus is first come, first served.

Vacation Bible School June 22-26
Be sure to save the week of June 22 for Vacation Bible School at Hyde Park! Kids will learn about conquering challenges with God's mighty power. Registration is open and we need a lot of volunteers to make God's love real at VBS. If you are an adult who can help, click here to sign up. If you are a youth who can help, click here to sign up.
