 EmilyEMILY'S MESSAGE
Let me ask you a question. What would you do if you came home from work today and your teen had started the laundry or washed the dishes or even began mowing the lawn without you asking them to do it? To learn more about acts of service and how it influences your teen, click here.

CHALLENGE VIDEO
This week's challenge:

Sometimes what you imagine for your life isn't God's plan. Sometimes, what you originally dreamt, is meant to lead you to what God wants for you. A lot of people get angry at God, asking him questions like, "why me?" Or "why this?" This is when Christians tend to lose the most faith. We all get tired of hearing the phrase, "things happen for a reason." But in reality, it's true. Every time I have begun to lose faith in God he has thrown me into something much better then I imagined, and I have learned to trust his plan. So in times of crisis and doubt, trust that the Lord knows what's best.

Middle School Sunday School, Sunday, 9:30 a.m.
Join us this week and take a deeper look into Scripture through the Skit Guys. We meet every Sunday morning with the exception of holiday weekends and the first Sunday of the month when students experience corporate worship and communion with the church body.

Merge, Sunday, 5:30 p.m.
Who really calls the shots in your life? Think about the most powerful person you know. Reality is, no matter how powerful that person is, there are some things he or she still can't control. Jesus met a man like that. This guy had assistants for his assistants. Everyone followed his orders. But at the end of the day, someone he cared about was really sick and there was nothing he could do to change that. However, he understood something about authority that we could all learn from. He understood that when his ability had run out, Jesus' ability kept going. And trusting Him to be in charge flipped everything. Remember to bring a friend and you both get a free gift. Dinner is $5 in the Harnish Activities Center.

Confirmation, Sunday, 5:30-8 p.m.
This is week one of Confirmation where we will create a class name, covenant and learn about "Creation, Sin and Redemption." We meet on the 3rd floor of the Wesley Building but join us for dinner at 5:15 p.m.in the Harnish Activities Center (cost is $5). Don't forget to bring your Confirmation Journals, Bible and folders.

Middle School Wednesday Night Bible Study, 6:30 p.m.
The Bible is intimidating - no doubt about it. It's so big, so wordy, and hard to understand, but what if we told you that there was a way to read the Bible that would make it easy? Good news! There is an easy and fun way to read and understand the Bible, and it's called "The Amazing Bible Race." This race will be your chance to get into Scripture, earn points for your team with fun activities, and be encouraged as you learn and grow in your faith. Each student will need to purchase a Runner's Reader for $6, which will help you remember what the reading of the day is, as well as provide you with commentary to help you understand what you're reading. Come ready to race this Wednesday in the Magnolia Building. See you there!
