FACT #1: Over 55,000,000 US homes have garage doors
FACT #2: Less than 0.1% have garage door screens
FACT #3: The garage is the largest area in most homes
The above 3 FACTs present a business opportunity to Lifestyle Screens dealers.

What is that opportunity?

Growth potential beyond your wildest dreams! A large number of homeowners are looking for additional living space without moving up to a larger home. And they are looking no further than the garage. The Lifestyle Screens garage door screen allows homeowners to satisfy this need. But...

Yessir, there is a "but"...

But, to access this growth Lifestyle Screens dealers have to think BIG. Yes Alice, there IS magic in thinking big!

The garage door screen market is divided into two segments:
  • Homeowners who want a garage door screen: Professionally Installed.
  • Homeowners who want a garage door screen: Self Installed.

The Self Installed segment of the market is significantly larger than the Professionally Installed segment of the market.

Now, ask yourself the question: Are you, as a Lifestyle Screens dealer, serving both segments of the garage door screen market?

If your answer to this question is no, then you are missing at least 50% of your market.

... therefore, we recommend that you study this bulletin, wherein we will describe, in detail, how you, as a Lifestyle Screens dealer should serve BOTH segments of the garage door screen market.

For our non-US dealers, the market size analysis is comparable and present you with the same opportunities.

Q1:  As a Lifestyle Screen dealer, I thought that I could only sell the Lifestyle Screen as a professionally installed product. Am I correct?

A1: You used to be. No longer. We have listened to a number of dealers and a much larger and ever increasing number of homeowners and we have undertaken a number of initiatives to make the installation of the Lifestyle Screens garage door screen plug-and-play. In fact, our internal research has shown that do-it-yourself homeowners tend to be at least as good as "pro installers" when it comes to installing their first Lifestyle Screens garage door screen. Moreover, the typical homeowner will self-install only one or two Lifestyle screens.

Consequently, corporately, we have concluded - based on the evidence - that homeowners should be afforded the opportunity to self-install the Lifestyle Screens garage door screen.
Q2:  As a Lifestyle Screens dealer, why should I sell cash-and-carry to homeowners when I can make a lot more by selling the Lifestyle screen solely as a professionally installed product?

A2: The answer is threefold: (a) if you do not sell cash-and-carry, you are ignoring more than half of your market.; (2) if you don't, someone else will and (3) cash-and-carry is extremely profitable and uses only a minor amount of your company resources.
Q3:  At what price should I sell a unit to cash-and-carry homeowners ?

A3:  Take your current pro-installed selling price and reduce it by an amount that accounts for your installation charge to get the cash-and-carry selling price.
Q4:  Will a do-it-yourself homeowner do as good an installation as a pro?

A4:  Our beta-testing of DIY homeowner installations has shown that homeowners are diligent about doing two things (1) watching the videos found in the Lifestyle Screens Installation Video Library and (2) following the Lifestyle Screens Installation Manual step by step. In doing these two things, a DIY homeowner does a fantastic job installing the Lifestyle Screen garage door screen.
Q5:  OK, so I want to expand my Lifestyle Screens business by selling
Are you leaving money on the table?
cash-and-carry. How do I do it?

A5:  There are two ways to do this: (1) you take the order from your cash-and-carry customer; you order your screen from us; we ship to your shop; homeowner picks up the product from your shop OR (2) you take the order from your cash-and-carry customer; you order the screen DROP SHIP from us; we ship directly to the cash-and-carry customer residence. There is a $150.00 drop ship charge for additional handling, packaging and residential shipping.
Q6:  What happens if the homeowner wants to return the product?

A6:  Lifestyle Screens garage door screen is a custom built product. There are no returns.
Q7:  What happens if the homeowner needs assistance with the installation or needs service?

A7:  You charge him an installation or service fee to perform the service he needs.
