The New Way To Pay - Mobil Wallets |
Technology plays a huge role in the convenience store industry. Will you be ready for the next generation of consumer payment methods?
Near field communication, also known as NFC, allows a device, typically a mobile phone, to gather data from another device or NFC tag at close range. It's like a contactless payment card that's integrated into a phone. It's also similar to Bluetooth, except that instead of programming two devices to work together, they can simply touch to establish a connection.
This technology is already being used in Asia where cell phones are no longer just cell phones; they are electronic wallets, personal scanners, locators and navigation systems, to name a few. Here in the States, AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless and T-Mobil are currently working with the major payment networks like Visa and MasterCard to build their Mobil wallet platforms. Will the plastic card soon be a thing of the past? |

Although Drake only drilled three oil wells, his first struck oil on August 27, 1859, and produced about 20 barrels a day. This event launched the modern energy industry and transformed the future of America. |
