PHC Construction/Asani's Grow Community - 5-Star Townhomes
Phase 2 of the groundbreaking Grow Community on Bainbridge Island is underway and it includes a mix of multifamily and townhome dwellings. Situated around a large open space studded with trees and wandering paths, the first four completed buildings of Phase 2 offer residents a direct connection to nature.

The eight townhomes in Building C feature a striking exterior of wood, steel, and glass. Behind the rustic cladding is a modern rainscreen with a liquid-applied weather barrier to properly manage water. The building envelope is also wrapped in an inch of Roxul mineral wool insulation for thermal and moisture control. Two stories in height, the townhomes sit above a subgrade parking garage to ensure the site focus on walkability. Each home has a front porch and back patio to encourage connection with the community. The interior design places emphasis on openness, height, and natural light.

Beyond the technicalities of the buildings, Grow Community is designed to cultivate a healthy, happy, and sustainable community for all ages. The physical space provides a vehicle for residents to achieve a simpler and more mindful lifestyle with a lower impact on the environment.
