InHaus Development - Solo Lofts - 4-Star Multifamily

This 20-unit development in the heart of Ballard is a striking example of the trend to increase housing density in Seattle. Replacing an aging duplex, the new building provides 20 one- and two-bedroom dwellings with top floor double height lofts. Parking spaces are provided for half the units on the ground floor while a large bike storage area accommodates the other typical means of transportation for the residents. And since parking and transportation are such important issues in the neighborhood, InHaus made a successful bid to have two new Zipcars parked across the street from the development.

Climate Adaptation and Regional Planning for Resilience
June 16, Snoqualmie City Hall, Snoqualmie
As the effects of climate change become more pronounced, extreme weather events will occur more frequently. At the same time, more gradual climate-driven changes will impact everything from forest and salmon health to water availability and physical infrastructure. Without careful regional planning, short-term shocks and long-term changes could dramatically impact our region's economy, biodiversity and quality of life. With many of these effects already being felt in the Northwest, integrating climate change into planning and preparedness efforts is becoming a necessity. Join us for an interactive conversation about the regional impacts of climate change and how local and regional agencies are using this information to make the Northwest more prepared and resilient. This roundtable will include a workshop element to discuss current planning progress and information needs around resilience planning, as well as barriers to engagement around climate resilience, and tools and strategies to meet those needs. Learn more.
