Take a moment on Earth Day, or any day, to do something beneficial for the environment or your community. Check out one of WTA's Trail Work Parties, look into the great work of Rebuilding Together Seattle, visit your neighborhood farmers' market...there are so many opportunities to give back and have fun.

Sustainable Cities Roundtable: Green Affordable Housing
April 14, Town Hall Seattle, Seattle
Affordable housing availability is a major issue in our region, but the many social, financial and regulatory challenges of building affordable housing can often preclude the inclusion of sustainable features. While the upfront costs of incorporating green building elements may be higher, the lifecycle implications of reduced energy and water bills, improved indoor air quality, and reduced toxins exposure can help developers, residents, and communities realize long-term economic and health benefits of sustainable design while reducing environmental impacts. Join us for this exciting opportunity to talk about the nexus of affordable housing and high-performance building. Local and national housing affordability and building science experts will discuss strategies to take affordable housing standards to the next level. RSVP here.
