November 2015

Volume 9, Number 9

Thanks to the Emil Babinger Charitable Trust - Winter Market Sponsor

November's news is short and sweet as I have a very busy week
Thank you, Jane McCoy, for the lovely music shared with our shoppers on Halloween. We finished the season in style.
and there is soup to make! I do hope you are planning to join us for the market's annual Soup-A-Palooza fundraiser on Tuesday. We are serving 6 kinds of soup this year, and there will be dessert, too, of course!

Thank you to everyone who braved the dropping temperatures and continued to join us for markets in the parking lot in October. We are looking forward to a slightly later start -- 10am -- and warmer shopping conditions for winter markets, which begin THIS Saturday! Remember that the market is moving back downtown to 701 Commercial this year.

I will be updating the market website with vendors and products for the winter season.
See you at the market!

P.S. If you didn't get to come see the vendors in costume for Halloween, here is a peek at what you missed!

You can learn more about 2015 Registered Vendors on our website.

Joining us in November, Phylis Odgers will be at the market to help you with your fall decor. Kitchen towels, scrubbies, place mats, napkins, afghans, and more! Festive and seasonal, think of the market first for your original gift-giving needs!

Kay Church will be joining us at winter markets with wood products -- mirrors, wall hangers, more! Watch for images in future newsletters and on our website.

Thinking about becoming a market vendor? Registration for the 2016 season opens in December. For craft and holiday vendors, there will be the option to sell ONLY at December markets again this year. Please contact Tracy at 620-343-6555 or [email protected] for details.

The Emporia Farmers Market fulfills a central role in the community's grand equation, offering a place of fellowship throughout the year, moving produce, producer, and consumer closer to a kindred realm, bridging lives with local growth, local arts, local writers and musicians, creating rhythms of seasons and relationship so well maintained as to seem always new and continuing together.
