MOBOTREX MINUTE
In July 2005, National Safe Routes to School (SRTS) passed into legislation. With this, $612 million was dedicated towards SRTS from 2005 to 2009. The program has been extended through various Congressional bills including MAP-21 and TAP.
 
In December 2015, the Fixing America's surface Act (FAST Act) was signed into law and it maintains funding for Safe Routes to School.
