Welcome to this week's "Tuesday Traffic Tips."

If you are attending the IMSA Conference in Schaumburg this week, we hope you will take the time to stop by the Eagle Traffic Control Systems booth #613-615 and see what new innovations are available.

In this weeks Traffic Tip, we are re-visiting the topic of Accessible Pedestrian Signals in response to a few questions from our readers.

Also another webinar is available from Iteris.

We hope you enjoy this weeks Tuesday Traffic Tip!

TRAFFIC TIP

On June 24th, we reviewed the process for properly configuring  a Polara EZ Communicator. It is equally important to ensure proper positioning and mounting of pedestrian signals and push buttons.

For this week's Tuesday Traffic Tip we are offering links to a couple of guides that review APS installation.

The first is "Accessible Pedestrian Signals: A Guide to Best Practices".  Chapter 7 specifically addresses installation guidelines.

The second is "Accessible Sidewalk and Street Crossings-an informational guide".   This guide addresses mounting specifics.

TRAFFIC TRIVIA

Do you know your traffic trivia? Here's your chance  to show us.

A.                                             B.

BD               Nomis

Which of the above items is used in the traffic industry? "A" or "B"?

Send your answer to [email protected]
with "Traffic Trivia" in the subject line.

The correct answer to the July 8th Traffic Trivia was "Friday from 1-5PM."

TRAFFIC "LITES"

This doesn't look like it would be wise to block this intersection anyway, but drivers beware...you have been warned.

If you have a funny picture of a traffic  related item, send it to [email protected] .
As always, we thank your for reading this week's Tuesday Traffic Tip.  If you have any suggestions to make this newsletter better, feel free to email us any time.
