Happy Spring Booth Hill families! What an exciting month we had in April. We began by celebrating spring with a wonderful egg hunt and party. A special, heart-felt thank you goes out to all of our generous families who donated delicious snacks for our spring party. Your generosity made the entire celebration a huge success and we genuinely appreciate it.
We made beautiful flowers and awesome umbrellas during craft time in April. The children really enjoyed making rain drop umbrellas. Drops of liquid glue we placed onto our background paper after we glued our umbrella to the paper. We then hung the picture up to allow the glue to drip, creating raindrops.
The children and staff are thrilled to be able to enjoy
the outdoors again. The older children love to stay outside playing basketball, football and wall ball all afternoon. Some of the other younger children are thrilled to be able to run on the playground and swing on the swings. We even have a handful of children who love to observe nature, especially bugs and worms and see what they are up to. Overall, we are all benefitting from the extended daylight and warmer temperatures. In May, we will continue our spring theme with windsocks, mobiles and wind chimes. We will be doing some planting and celebrating our moms. We will also be looking forward to enjoying more warm weather and outside fun with bubbles, jump ropes and sidewalk chalk. Creativity does not run thin here at Booth Hill TLC and I am looking forward to seeing some of the creations our children come up with using a variety of supplies and mediums like paint, chalk, crayons and markers. We will be doing some fun and easy science experiments as well. Overall, May is gearing up to be an exciting and busy month.
