Friday, March 13th was quite a blast as our TLC 4th and 5th graders traded places with the staff for the day and oh what a laugh. It was quite the site as they attempted all the tasks with delight. Greeting parents, checking ID's, oh what a tease.
K-2nd was quite the challenge as Amanda, playing role of staff member Ariana, took center stage looking at us in a complete daze. Tyler laughed and giggled with joy as he took on the role of Mrs. Olga, oh boy! Connor, as Brian, was quite character as the three all huddled to master the scene. In the Caf Matt played Miss Shayna with ease and confidence as he communicated to the children to "get ready your parents are here". Natalie was missed as she was home, this fun day was planned because of her.
All did an equally good job, but together as a team they did great. We are so proud of them all as their goal was to have a ball and that they did. Our TLC staff set them all up for a challenge as they acted like the children to get a reaction and boy did they! Parker joined in to save the day as he knew exactly what to say - Thanks Parker! The children all requested we do this again.
Children and staff were able to make it outdoors as we were blessed with some sun. Despite the leftover snow that kept children off the playground, they socialized and played in other creative ways.
Looking ahead:
Parents please don't forget to check our parent table daily as we will beplanning a spring field day for the children. Along with some Earth friendly recycling projects that will be displayed in our TLC room in April. I will also be sending home info on the Family Recycling Project for all those wanting to take part in our creation. Also please note our TLC parent portal is open and summer and fall registration is now in progress.
