 Happy Valentines Day  ,


All of our centers have great plans for celebrating the February holidays. The children are busy making crafts and decorations for their TLC rooms and for the upcoming parties. As always we appreciate the donations and assistance from TLC parents. Please speak with your child's Site Director to see how you can volunteer this month.

Once again our state is expecting more snow and cold weather. Please send your children to TLC prepared for cold, chilly and perhaps snowy weather. Children need to bring hats, coats, mittens, scarves and boots -  when there is snow on the ground.

E-NEWS FROM TLC FRENCHTOWN

Last month, before-school children had a great time playing with PlayDoh, iron beads and mum ball. In February for crafts, we will make glitter hearts, Valentine's Day Cards and celebrating Friendship Day with special activities.

The after-school children loved playing dodge ball with the staff. We will be trying different games this month. They enjoyed making various of snowflakes and winter animals. We also had a winter fest party with blue jello, powdered snow, build your own snowmen out of marshmallows and a snowball fight in the gym with homemade snowballs.

graphic-heart.gifA Valentine's Day Party is planned with all kinds of goodies for all the children. February is known as Friendship month. Each week we will have activity that pertains to friendships, sharing and caring for each and every one of us.

Reminder - Please dress the children in warm clothing just in case we go outside. They need to be wearing hats, gloves, scarves and winter jackets.

REGISTRATION NEWS

 

Please accept our apologies as we are still working on updating the TLC Parent Portal. Registration for TLC Preschool, and TLC Summer Camp programs is currently on hold until we are able to get the Parent Portal up and running.
 

Should you have an interest in either the TLC Preschool Program and or TLC Summer Camp, please send an email to registration@tlctrumbull.com and include your child's name, birthday, school, and grade in the body of the email, and the program you want in the subject line. We will then add your name to our interest list. We will send you an email along with registration instructions once you are able to log into the Parent Portal and register. 
 

Again we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask for your patience as we are working to improve the TLC Parent Portal.

STORM ALERTS & TLC PROCEDURES

 

During this time of year it is important to keep an eye out for the storm alerts on the local news.TLC follows the Trumbull Public Schools decision regarding weather related delays and closures. Sometimes TLC does not get the notification in time for the early news broadcast. If in doubt, please remember that TLC will do the following:

  • If Trumbull Public Schools have a 90 minute delay, TLC is open at 8:30 am.
  • If Trumbull Public Schools have a 2 � hour delay, then TLC is open at 9:30 am.
  • If Trumbull Public Schools are closed, then TLC is also closed.
Emergency alerts related to weather conditions are also on our website:www.tlctrumbull.com.
