Greetings from Middlebrook! We hope that everyone has managed to stay warm this past month as it has been very cold with tons of snow! In January our before-school children had tons of fun playing different computer games! They really enjoyed teaming up with their friends and playing games such as Candyland, Chuzzle, and Bejeweled. On Friday mornings they also had a great time playing cards and the Nintendo Wii . They have also been making a lot of Valentine's Day crafts which are hung up all over our classroom.

Our after-school children also really enjoyed making these Valentine's Day crafts:suncatchers, heart fish, and heart ladybugs. All of these wonderful crafts were made from construction paper, tissue paper squares, wax paper, and markers. When the children weren't inside using the computer and making crafts, they were in the gym playing various group games. They also went Roller Skating on the handful of days that the school was offering it. We even managed to make it outside to play on a couple of the warmer days in January!

Coming up in February we have some really fun things planned! The children will be very busy in February creating more Valentine's Day crafts to decorate our classroom with, as well Roller Skating. Also we will be having our Eat Your Hearts Out Bash after school on Thursday February 12th. The children will have a huge ice cream party for snack in honor of Valentine's Day.
