December was a busy month for us and it went by so fast! Our before-school children had lots of fun decorating the room for the upcoming holiday. They made holiday stockings, Dreidels, holidays trees, and Menorahs. They also enjoyed making iron bead ornaments and clay ornaments. If they are not participating in a craft, the morning children are playing one of their favorite board games "Pic Wits" or playing a group activity called "Mum". They all had a blast and really enjoyed making personalized gingerbread houses.
After school, the children have been making holiday crafts such as: tissuepaper wreaths, Rudolph, paper plate Santa's, glitter ornaments, and snowflakes. They too made iron bead ornaments and paper plate snow globes. They had tons of fun making their very own personalized gingerbread houses. They all looked so adorable.
They also spent time in the gym playing games with the staff such as: dodge ball, man from mars, 4-corners, and 7-up; in the caf playing board games/cards/ freeze dance; or outside playing on the playground (weather permitting).
We had a great year and we are looking forward to a Fabulous 2015! The DFS TLC Staff and I wish you all a safe Holiday and a Happy New Year!
