Welcome Tashua TLC Children & Families!

 

As we transition from summer to fall looking forward to the beginning of a new chapter and many journeys, we are quite excited that mine lead to another year at Tashua TLC. We are very much looking forward to new beginnings, while meeting and connecting with our TLC children and families through meaningful experiences.

 

This letter is meant to serve as a resource, give some insight, and set foundation for a successful TLC year for TLC staff, families and children.

TLC Daily Schedule: The children are kept active and engage during their time at TLC.


3:20- Attendance, wash up, snack time

3:30-4:30- Homework

4:30-5:30- Gym supervised for organized games or outdoor play, center play
                  also offered as an option during this time.

5:00- Fresh fruit snack and beverage

5:30-Quiet time, clean up, departures

 

TLC PARENT TABLE:  is a resource area for our parents and it also has sign in/out sheets. Children must be signed in and out daily, parent signature and times are state requirements.

 

Child Mailboxes:  Please note this is where you may pick up your child's artwork, crafts, notes, etc. Please view it daily.

 

Snacks:  are provided by TLC, we focus on making them healthy options with occasional treats for special events. Fresh fruit will be offered at 5 pm for children still in TLC care at that time.

 

Sneakers/Outerwear: Please note that sneakers are a must while at TLC. Flip flops, sandals, crocs are not allowed in gym or playground, so please be sure your child has a pair of sneakers packed or on. Coats and outerwear are needed as children do go outdoors when the weather gets cooler. Please send them to TLC with the appropriate 

outerwear and footwear,

 

Homework: We are here to provide guidance and support for homework. It is a child's responsibility to inform TLC staff that they have homework. TLC staff will not go searching through your child's belongings in search of homework. TLC staff provide guidance, not the homework answers. TLC staff will sign and date any homework assignment your child is assisted with for follow up as needed.

If you are visiting your school room on Monday, 8/25/14, please feel free to stop by the TLC Room to say hello. We will be there from 9-3 pm.
