PILGRIM'S WAY
the journey of fellowship thru Christian education
TUESDAYS June 11-July 16 at 10am
bring lunch & stay for fellowship!
Jerusalem: The eternal city, first built thousands of years ago; whose history can be heard in the whispering wind along the walls. A city of overwhelming emotions & mysteries; a city that promises a religious & spiritual experience to everyone. We will travel there via video & discussion facilitated by Murph Brown, former resident of Jerusalem & grad student at the University of the Holy Land. Our study will focus on Jerusalem's holy sites. We will also visit fascinating archaeological sites & we will have fun exploring the yet unsolved mysteries & secrets of this "holiest city in the world."
WEDNESDAYS June 12-July 17 at 6:15pm (light supper), 7pm class
Reflections: Transform & renew your mind in this small group. Safely share & discuss with fellow pilgrims a thought, favorite reading, a concern. With Dr. Doug Welpton & Murph Brown. Come & bring your spouse or a friend to help us build the fellowship community at Ascension! Recent studies show that fellowship is one of the prime contributors to our  happiness & to our health. Watch the documentary "Happy" on Netflix to view this engaging & informative study. Come to Reflections to grow

happier & healthier! A great way to build friendships, too.

EVERY WEDNESDAY, following the Healing Service at 10am
Centering Prayer: Calm & focus your mind & spirit. With Fr. Leo.

RECYCLE CELL PHONES,
TABLETS & E-READERS
Got a drawer full of old cell phones? Have you upgraded your tablet or e-reader & now have an extra one? They can turn into cash for our adult mission trip! Larry Clem & Brenda Hiers are collecting used personal electronics (& their chargers) for sale to businesses that refurbish them. Some end up on the resale market; some are given to charities for use by their clients.Either way, they're not polluting our landfills! Bring them into the church office, clearly marked "Phones for Missions."

Your donations will help fund the Adult Work Mission Trip on July 5-13 to Chanco on the James Episcopal Retreat & Conference Center in Virginia. Our team will help renovate an old house, to be used as an administration building. If time permits, they'll also do some work in the community.
