The Gospel of Luke
Bible Promises
New Testament
God Promises He Has Written Our Names in Heaven - (Luke 10:20)

Bible Promise
You can celebrate because your name is written in heaven.

Bible Verse
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

Reading Notes
Did you know that every believer has their names written in two of God's books? It's absolutely true. First, we have our names written in God's "Book of Life." This is the book in which every person who has ever been born has their names written in it. However, during the church age, which is our current age of grace. If a person dies without accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior their names are erased from this book. Their names are erased from the "Book of Life" and they are condemned to an eternity of separation from God, because of their own rebellion against God.

Then we have the other book called the, "Lamb's Book of Life." This book has the names of every person who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. And dear believer in this we rejoice greatly! Because any name written in this book cannot be removed! Once our names have been written in the "Lamb's Book of Life," we are then secured in the hands of Jesus. Yes, Satan and his demons may for now harass us, bring turmoil and chaos into our lives, maybe even death. However, God is in control and no one can snatch us from the hands of Christ. No one, can take our eternity away from us!
