The Epistle to the Hebrews
Bible Promises
New Testament
God Promises He is Pleased When We Share With Others - (Hebrews 13:15-16)

Bible Promise
I am pleased when you share with others.

Bible Verse
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Reading Notes
We see in the Old Testament that animal sacrifices and offerings were a major part of the Temple worship, they were meant to show the people the price for sin. Moreover, they served to teach the people that the remission of sin required the shedding of blood. And that's why Jesus is so important to us. The New Testament shows us that Jesus Himself became our one time sacrifice, justifying us forever before a holy God. Because of God's mercy, Jesus shed His blood on the Cross of Calvary, in order that through our faith in Him, we could have the remission of sins and receive eternal life. In addition, it's through Jesus, we all become priests and children of God, because by faith we are adopted into the family of God. And what God wants most is our sincere praise and worship which stems from a close, love filled relationship with Him.

A relationship that can only be restored through our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. God desires our hearts, and a thanksgiving to Him out of our love for who He is and what He has done for us. Jesus has given so much to us, through Him we have eternal life! We who were dead in our trespasses and sins, now have a new life! We inherit a joyous eternity to come, because of our faith in Jesus. Therefore, we praise His Holy name, because eternal life is God's gift to us. In addition, it pleases God when we share with others. When we take our time, talents and resources and help those in need, because of the love we have, we make God joyous. Our calling and our blessing are to share the Gospel with the lost and reach out to others, sharing the blessings God has given us. When we do this without expecting anything back, when we do this not for the recognition, but for the love of those we're helping. Then God is pleased and we have our reward in heaven. We must remember, God has promised in His word, He will be well pleased with us, because of our faith in Jesus and heartfelt love for the Lord.
