The Gospel According to John
Daily Bible Verse
New Testament
Christ Will Return - (John 14:1-5,6)

Bible Verse
Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know... Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Reading Notes
As Christians and followers of Christ, we have security in the knowledge that Jesus is coming back for us. Jesus promised that He will return in a twinkling of an eye, to take us to Heaven where we will spend eternity with Him. And He guaranteed this promise with His own resurrection and the sending of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will strengthen us and keep us until the day we see Jesus face to face. We cannot know the exact day or hour, and we have to remember Jesus Himself told us no one knows the exact timing of this event, except for the Father Himself. However, Jesus did tell us we can know the season by studying our Bibles and reviewing the signs of the time. God has not hidden anything from us, His word is open for all to read. As followers of Jesus, we are all expected to know and study God's word, the Bible.

And from the study of God's word, we know the time is very short, we know it could be very soon, even at the door. We must remember there are no more Bible prophecy's that remain to be fulfilled before the rapture of the church occurs. All remaining "big events" in Bible prophecy reference a time after the rapture of the church. The Apostle Paul called the rapture of the church the, "blessed hope" for all believers. And Jesus told us to watch and pray. And as we watch and pray, we see events unfolding which remind us that the "End of Days" is on the horizon and approaching quickly. Which means the return the Lord is even closer. Therefore the most important things on our hearts should be our love of Jesus and His love for the lost! We are to be about our Father's business just as Jesus was during His earthly ministry. Which means one of our most important tasks is the salvation of souls, by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are perishing.
