God Promises We Will Flourish in His Courts Forever - (Psalm 92:12-14)

Bible Promise
I will make you fruitful in your old age.

Bible Verse
The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing.

Reading Notes
Because of Jesus, because of what He did for us, and by our faith in Him alone for salvation, we now have a close relationship with God the Father. And through faith, because of God's mercy and love for us, we become like a tree planted in the courtyard of the Lord. Because of our relationship with God, restored through Jesus, we are nourished by the Holy Spirit who draws us closer to God through Christ. The Holy Spirit, carries out God's plan of spiritual growth in our lives called "sanctification." And it's through the process of sanctification, that the Holy Spirit builds us stronger in the knowledge of Jesus, through the study of God's word the Bible. These passages speak of our blessings now through salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, as well as our future state when we see Jesus face to face. With our salvation, we receive immediate redemption and the forgiveness of our sins, past, present and future.

We also receive sanctification which continues for the rest of our lives until we go home to be with the Lord. And when we see Jesus face to face, we will receive glorification and know just as we are known. Therefore, with the new spirit given to us by God, and through the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit, we become like the palm tree which never seems to age. Because of the Holy Spirit, we have the enduring presence of the Lord always with us, because we are now part of the family of God. By faith we receive adoption and become children of God through our faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. And because of the transformation brought about by God, in our hearts and minds, we will always praise the Lord. Here the cedar and the palm symbolized permanence and strength. And we are given both permanence and strength through the Holy Spirit who indwells us and the word of God, which prepares us for service to the Lord. As we study the Bible, we flourish and grow in Christ and the joy of knowing Him and the redemption He alone has brought us.
