God Promises He Will Bless and Redeem Us - (Psalm 103:1-4)

Bible Promise
Forgiveness and healing are among My many benefits.

Bible Verse
Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

Reading Notes
When David first penned these verses, like us, he had experienced the blessings of God and the saving power of his grace. He knew firsthand what we know today, that God is our Great Redeemer. Therefore, we bless His holy name with everything that is within us. He has redeemed us from the destruction to come! He has redeemed us from an eternity in punishment and torment; because He has redeemed us from our sins. And there is so much more waiting for us when we go home to be with the Lord. Therefore, God through Christ has redeemed us to a glorious eternity to be spent with Him forever. Moreover, He has changed our lives today through the Holy Spirit's work in our hearts and minds.

And because of His influence and work in us, we can live a more abundant life because of Jesus who strengthens us. And through His blessings He has given us joy and peace because of our faith in Him. And through the power of the Holy Spirit who indwells all followers of Jesus, we can participate in the work of God's kingdom today, by submitting to the Holy Spirit's guidance on a day to day basis. In addition, God on a daily basis fulfills His promises to us when we recover from illness, spend more time with our families, enjoy nature and have the ability to work in order to provide for our families. Therefore, we shall always bless His holy name in the good times as well as during the trials, we know will come because of the fallen world we live in. We will bless the Lord with all we have within us.
