The Book of Psalms
Bible Promises
Old Testament
God Promises We Can Trust in Christ Alone - (Psalm 56:11)

Bible Promise
Trust in Me, and do not be afraid of what others can do to you.

Bible Verse
In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Reading Notes
Through the work of Jesus at the Cross and because of our faith we are saved and look forward to an eternity spent in His presence! Because of what Jesus did for us and our faith in Him alone, salvation is assured! Therefore, what can others do to us? Though the enemy can put us through trials, though we may lose our life, there is nothing the enemy can do to hinder our salvation. We belong to God the Father, because through our faith in Christ, we were adopted into the family of God, as His dear children. And there is no one who can snatch our eternity out of the hands of God. There is nothing the enemy can do to take away our eternity guaranteed by Jesus. Therefore, when God sees us through the storm and we come through the trial, we shall praise His Holy name.

When trials come into our lives, we are to place our trust in God. And by relying on His strength, we will remain steadfast in our faith. It's the Lord, who will give us the strength we need to weather the storm, and come through the trial with stronger faith than when we started. Moreover, we know for certain, that when we breathe our last breath here on earth, we will awaken in the presence of Christ and we shall praise His name all the more dearly. Dear Christian, lock this truth deep in your heart! The things of this world are passing away, there is nothing of man that will last the test of time; but we, through faith, have eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. And there is no power of Satan, and no power of man that can overcome the sovereignty of our Lord. God is not only in control, but He resides with us daily, because the Holy Spirit indwells all who follow and love the Lord.
