God Promises We Can Approach Him Through Christ - (Ephesians 3:12)

Through faith in Christ, you can boldly approach Me with confidence.

Reading Notes
As followers of Jesus, we who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord, have an immense gift from God. That gift is we can come before the throne of God as His dear children at any time. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can come before a Holy God. There is no other group of people in the world who can make this claim, only Christians! The Bible tells us God not only hears the prayers of the saints, they come before His Holy throne like incense. Our sincere prayers come before the throne of God and He hears every prayer as we call to Him. The entire purpose of prayer is relationship and communication with God. We now through Jesus can have a close relationship with God the Father. And like any family, we can now talk and share our love for the Lord, and bring our concerns, our hopes and our dreams directly to God. That's what prayer really is, it's communication with God.

And through prayer the Lord helps us to better align our will with God's will. Therefore why would we, the very children of God, the only people who are joint heirs with Christ go anyplace else? Why would we place our trust in the world, why would we place our trust in people or in material possessions when we have the God of the universe as our dear Father in Heaven? The Bible tells us this world is passing away along with everything in it. Therefore, why trust in what is passing away when we have been freely given what is eternal? Because of what Jesus did for us and our faith in Him, we now have confidence in the eternity given to us by the very Author of creation. Confidence in the blood of Christ to remove our sins once and for all times. And confidence that the Holy Spirit who indwells us will see us through the trials we face until we go home to be with Christ. And until we meet Jesus face to face we have prayer as a vital means of communication with God.
