Old Testament
Through Christ We Inherit Glory - (Proverbs 3:33-35)

Daily Wisdom
The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just. Surely He scorns the scornful, cut gives grace to the humble. The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the legacy of fools.

Reading Notes
God looks at all of us with eternity in mind, God has love and concern for all people and it's His desire we spend eternity with Him in Heaven. Compared to eternity, the time we spend here is but a brief moment! Though as hard as it may be, we have to remember to keep eternity in mind; because our true reality begins when we see Jesus face to face. For those of us who have placed our faith in Christ alone, we have the blessing of the Holy Spirit who indwells and guides us now, as well as the overwhelming future blessings of living with Jesus for all of eternity. Though it may seem the wicked prosper for now that is only because we live in a fallen world where evil reigns.

In other words, we should not be surprised that wicked people prosper in a fallen world which is at enmity against God. A world which is in rebellion against God, loves those who themselves are in rebellion against God. The wicked are not prospering in God's eyes, instead they are building up wrath for the judgment to come. Remember, only those things we do out of our love for Christ, and our love for others becomes our reward in eternity. All else is burned away as garbage. Therefore, we must remember that no one can enter Heaven without Jesus. Moreover, human success here on earth has no relevance to our eternal security, and is not an indication of a right relationship with God, why? Because it is only through a relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord, that we can really have a relationship with God.
