The Gospel of Matthew
Bible Promises
New Testament
God Promises He Knows Us, He Knows Our Frame - (Matthew 10:29-31)

Bible Promise
I have even numbered each hair on your head.

Bible Verse
Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Reading Notes
God is sovereign and in control and as followers of Jesus, we know He is the King and Lord of our lives. However, do we really understand or stop to think about what and how much this simple truth really means to us? Do we think about how deeply God knows His children? These passages give us some insight into the intimate knowledge God knows about us, our bodies, our hearts, our lives and what drives us. So much so that the Bible tells us God has numbered the very hairs of our head. Therefore remember God knows the smallest details of our lives! Moreover, God knows the desires, motives and thoughts behind all of our actions, our hopes and our dreams.

God knows when we are sick or in health, when we hurt, when we laugh, He knows our concerns, our desires, He knows everything about us and our lives. And His divine providence governs even the smallest details of everyday life. We have to be careful to understand this doesn't mean God causes bad things to happen to us. Bad things happen because of the fallen world we live which brings disease and chaos. Bad things happen because of sin, both our sins and the sins of others, as well as the spiritual warfare waged around us. Dear Christian, do not think God is not concerned about the smallest part of our lives we consider insignificant. Because that is not the case! Christ loves us and is concerned about every part of our being; therefore all we do, we do for Him and through Him. And the best part is with Him all things are possible, and because of our faith in Him, we too can participate in the work of God's kingdom.
