Reading Notes
This passage and others like it confirm for us what John told us in the first chapter of his Gospel. Which tells us, everything was created by Christ Jesus our Lord. John tells us, "All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." And the Apostle Paul tells us in his letter to the Colossian church, "He himself is before all things and all things are held together in him." The Bible also tells us that God knitted us together in our mother's womb. This passage also speaks of being upheld from birth. Moreover, God's word also tells us we were chosen in Christ before the foundations of the world were laid down. Therefore, before conception, God has upheld us, chosen us and prepared us for the life we can live in Jesus. Dear child of God this means Jesus is not only the Author of all creation, but that He personally knew us before we were ever conceived.

And He chose us to belong to Him and took part in creating us as He knit us together in our mother's womb. Therefore, we have to remember, we are special to God. We are created in the image of God, meant to have a relationship with God through Christ Jesus our Lord! And with all that exist in the world today, nothing can compare to what awaits us when we go home to be with Jesus. Therefore, we live to Christ, we die to this fallen world, and we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, because of our love for Jesus. When we go home and see Jesus face to face all the pains, sufferings and abuses of this world will be forgotten. There we will experience more joy, more understanding and more fulfillment than we can imagine here on this earth. Therefore, knowing we are upheld by Christ, knowing what a glorious future awaits us, the praise of our Lord and Savior should continually be on our lips.
