Three's a Crowd
From Anonymous:  REPLY
I am not happy about the dynamic my fiancé has created between me and his ex-wife regarding their teenage children. I've become the "bad cop," although I am doing all I can not to interfere with their parenting. I would like for all of us to speak to a counselor together. This is not a conversation I look forward to having, and I would like to come prepared with a short list of professionals who can get our new family on the right track. If you have a therapist who you highly recommend, I'd love to hear from you.

'Dress for Vets' and Teach Kids About Veteran's Day!
From Amy Zambrano:  REPLY
We are looking for local schools and businesses to do a Dress for Vets day where the students or employees dress in red, white and blue and bring a donation to benefit our troops. This is a great opportunity to teach our kids about Veteran's Day. Ours is a grass-roots 501(c)3 which supplies iPads to troops on the front lines as well as gravely injured soldiers in our nation's military hospitals, and every penny raised is used solely for this purpose! If you have a group that is willing to help this Veteran's Day, please reply above. We have flyers, photos, even banners you can use.*

Shhh, It's a (Beauty) Secret!

cucumber-facemask-girl.jpg We thought we'd heard it all - Preparation H for puffy eyes, mayo for taming frizzy locks and aspirin for acne. We asked JABBERS to share their tried and true homemade beauty tips. Below are some of their best kept beauty secrets for you to try without even having to leave the house.

Go Green with Repurposed Tea Bags

Ann Schepmann says recycled tea bags work wonders on her eyes. "Used, chilled chammomile tea bags are great at reducing puffy eyes. I save them in the refrigerator and when I'm ready to use them, I squeeze out the excess liquid and place them on my eyes for about 20 minutes. Not only does it work, but it feels great."

Bee Savvy With Skin Care

Lisa Disisto uses honey for stubborn breakouts. "I read years ago that honey is good for treating acne as well as acne scars because of its antibacterial properties. I tried it and have never gone back to using over-the-counter products. I also love it because unlike over-the counter products which dried out my skin, honey leaves my skin feeling soft."

Go Bananas With Your Hair Mask

Valerie Ramkhelewan mixes a mashed banana with a tablespoon of honey, massages it into her hair and rinses with warm water after 10 minutes."The potassium in the banana is great for repairing the damage that is done to my hair with the blow dryer and curling iron during the week."

An Egg-cellent Skin Solution

Gale Aycox wards off sagging skin with egg whites. "I beat a few egg whites until they are firm and then spread evenly all over my face. I keep the egg-white mask on for about 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. I noticed a difference after only a few weeks."

A Quick Scan
From Kim Dunn:  REPLY
I have a powerful Fujitsu scanner and boxes of old paper documents that I'd like to make paperless, but I don't know how to use all the features of the scanner to make the process as efficient as possible. I'd like to figure out how to organize and store the documents electronically. Do you know someone who can help with both the technical and practical side of making my office paperless? Perhaps even someone who can help with the actual scanning? Your feedback is much appreciated.

Looking for Little Einstein
