Baby Talk
My husband is desperate for me to have another baby. We have one child and I do not want to have any more. This situation is starting to cause a lot of stress on our marriage. If you have experience with this situation, I would love to hear from you. |
Allergy Advice
My 11-year-old son is severely allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. I have been unsuccessful in getting him accepted into clinical trials for oral immunotherapy, a promising therapy to reverse life-threatening food allergies. Does anyone have any advice on joining this program? Has anyone had success with any other treatment? I look forward to hearing from you. |

Sip and Slice
There are still a few lazy days of summer left to enjoy before we return to a life filled with schedules, packing lunches, carpool and school projects. And what better way to spend them than by enjoying two of life's great culinary pleasures. So, before you trade in your chef and party hostess hats for your chauffeur and tutor hats, here are a few wine and cheese pairings recommended by Palm Beach sommelier Drew Feinberg from The Wine Sage and Chef Lippe, owner of FratelloSole. Whether you plan on throwing a party to celebrate (or mourn) the end of summer or just plan on enjoying a few more quiet evenings at home poolside, these suggestions are sure to delight both your guests and your taste buds. Enjoy!
The Saint Roch Les Vignes Côtes de Provence Rosé 2011 is the perfect summer wine. Slightly dry and crisp, the taste of red berries combined with the right amount of acidity is what makes this wine pair perfectly with summer foods seafood dishes and Banon cheese which is a French unpasteurized cheese made from goat's milk.
Sarl Pierre Yves Colin Morey Saint Aubin Le Blanc 2011's aromas of candied yellow fruits, lime and menthol pair perfectly with a Misty Lovely raw goat cheese.
Bell Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir 2012 is a combination of grapes from three of California's most sought after coastal growing regions. This pinot pairs nicely with
Nocetto di Capra, a soft-ripened pasteurized triple cream goat cheese with hints of mushroom and walnut.
Domaine Lucie et Auguste Lignier Morey St. Denis Les Chaffots Burgundy 2005
The wood spice undertones of this wine combined with its earthy mixture of both red and blackberry fruit aromas pair wonderfully with the Spanish Ibores cheese made from unpasteurized goat's milk.
Malbec Las Nencias Single Vineyard La Esperanza Argentina 2010 has hints of blueberry, currant and dark chocolate. The Malbec is also oaky and has plenty of acidity perfect for pairing with Reggianito cheese which is often used for cooking and grating over pasta dishes.
Grgich Hills Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2009 is packed with rich aromas of black cherry, black licorice and a hint of roasted coffee. Its full body and smooth tannins make it the perfect partner with grilled steak, rack of lamb and bold cheeses such as Valdeon Azul cheese, a Spanish blue cheese.

Like Riding a Bike

From Elayne Simione: REPLY The bed frame on my son's bottom bunk is broken. I would like to replace it but don't want to buy a new one as I think that he will outgrow his twin bunk beds in the next year. If you have a gently used twin bed in blonde wood that you would like to sell, please contact me. Thanks! |
