Extra, Extra!
From Amanda Cohen:  REPLY
By the time I find out about a locally-filmed TV series searching for extras, it's too late to participate. Do you have any advice on staying up-to-date on these notices? I'm not an actor, just a woman with a bucket list. Thanks!

Neighbor to Neighbor
From Anonymous:  REPLY
My neighbor's 40-year-old daughter is struggling with drug addiction. I would like to offer my neighbor help beyond being a shoulder to cry on. Can anyone recommend a support group or counselor for parents coping with an adult child's drug addiction? Would AL-ANON be a good fit? They are Catholic and are open to faith-based services. Your feedback is really appreciated.

The Bachelorette
From Eileen Mortiz:  REPLY
I am in charge of hosting a bachelorette party in October. I am considering a pole dancing class as one of the activities for the evening. If you have ever taken this type of class, I would love to hear about your experience. Also, if you have recommendations on places that offer these types of classes in a party atmosphere, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

Family Block Party!
The Norton Museum of Art is hosting a Family Block Party during its weekly Art After Dark series on Thursday, Aug. 8. The party features Dan Parker, the Seattle-based LEGOŽ Certified Professional who constructed the landmark buildings featured in the Norton exhibition, Block by Block: Inventing Amazing Architecture. Parker will discuss creating the structures from LEGO bricks and lead a 'group build,' encouraging participants to create their own "amazing architecture." Museum admission is free (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.) to Florida residents with a valid ID.*

Form Fitting
From Rachael Hodyno:  REPLY
I have several designer dresses and suits to sell and I'm confident I will get a better price if they are photographed on a dress form or mannequin. If you or someone you know has one I can borrow or rent, please contact me. Thanks!

"Save" the Date
From Team JAB

It's that time of year again, JABBERS. Florida's Sales Tax Holiday is back, just in time for your back to school shopping! Whether your kids are headed back to elementary school, high school or college, from August 2 to 4, you can stock up on all necessary school supplies from notebooks and crayons to uniforms and backpacks, up to $75 per item, without paying the usual sales tax. And this year for the first time, you can save sales tax on personal computers, e-readers and tablets that cost $750 or less. For details on which items the sales tax savings applies to, click HERE. Happy savings!

Tile File
From Virginie Lasnier:  REPLY
My bathroom tiles are modern, but the color is awful - yellow and black. Should I remove and re-tile or refinish/paint the tiles? I have never refinished/painted so I don't know if it lasts, how it looks or how much it costs. I'd love to hear your advice. Thanks!

The Web I Weave
From Rachel Charlupski:  REPLY
I am searching for a group of professionals who can provide web design, programming and graphic design services to update a website and brand image/company logo. This Old Car
From Sheri Turner:  REPLY
Our 1991 Cadillac has been a valued member of our family, but the time has come to part ways. I am considering selling it for parts or donating it, but I don't know where to begin! If you have any advice to share, please contact me. Thanks!

Ping Pong Problems
From Brenda Moreira:  REPLY
Our ping pong table is in need of some repairs as the wind knocked it over causing some of the edges to crack and the net to break. I have been unsuccessful in getting information from the manufacturer or the store where it was purchased as to where I can have it repaired. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!

All Things Art
From Donna Wallerstein:  REPLY
I recently accepted a position teaching art, research and reading to high school students. My art classroom supply is very low so I am seeking gently used art supplies that I can purchase for my students. If you or someone you know has any items for sale or other suggestions on where I can find art supplies, please contact me. Thank you!
