South for the WinterMy cousin will be visiting over the holiday season, and we are planning a vacation in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. LemonAid From Team JAB We want to thank all of the JABBERS who, after reading last week's newsletter, joined Team JAB in celebrating National Lemonade Days. We heard from JABBERS who braved this past weekend's temperamental weather to set up a stand and raise funds for childhood cancer research, and shared their updates and photos with us by email and social media.
JABBERS and Mini-JABBERS across South Florida raised hundreds of dollars one cup at a time. The updates we received are amazing:
- JABBERS Shari Byrd, Allison Langer and Michelle Segal Janson raised an easy $131 by setting up their stand on the sidelines of a kids' soccer game in a local park on a hot afternoon.
- Pinecrest business Joanna's Marketplace hosted their stand in the memory of Bella Rodriguez-Torres, and matched the more than $160 raised in lemonade sales over two days with a corporate donation. They will continue to sell lemonade in-store until they reach their fundraising goal of $500.
- JAB Palm Beach Managing Editor Lissa Dorsey raised $138 in West Palm.
