It probably comes as no surprise that the overwhelming majority of JABBERS are women. After all, in addition to being moms, business owners and community leaders, women are usually at the helm of managing every detail of their family's lives from choosing the best doctors to planning the perfect vacations. But this week, Team JAB is taking time to acknowledge a special group of men - Dads. They're our protectors and heavy lifters, our sports fans and handymen, our grill masters and team captains, our teachers and life coaches. In other words ... they're our everything! Whether you are a dad, have a dad, are married to a dad or know a terrific dad, we wish all the wonderful all-star dads in our lives a very special day!
Happy Father's Day and Happy JABBING!

Paying it Forward
From Lissa Dorsey, JustAskBoo Palm Beach Editor
Every day, I am reminded of how JABBERS embody the true spirit of community. And this weekend was no different. I want to thank each and every JABBER who came out to support the Alex's Lemonade Stand my kids hosted in memory of Bella Rodriguez-Torres. Because of you, they raised $138 for pediatric cancer research. While Bella lived in Miami, people from all over the country, including me, were inspired by this amazing little girl and her family to embrace life, no matter what challenges it brings, and to live each day to the fullest. Although we never met Bella, her smile and her spirit touched my family in a profound way. By sharing their beautiful daughter's story with the world, Bella's family gave us an invaluable gift. If you have been inspired and touched by a similar story, please consider paying it forward by hosting your own Alex's Lemonade Stand or by donating to St. Baldrick's Foundation by clicking HERE. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of many.

A Not Too Distant Memory
From Team JAB
JABBERS, we asked you to tell us about one of your fondest memories of Dad. In this tribute to Father's Day, we are sharing your thoughtful and amusing responses.
Boo Zamek says, "Every Christmas when my sister Morgan and I were growing up, what we looked forward to most - even more than the surprises Santa had left under the tree - was the "love letter" from Dad we knew we'd find in our stocking. We woke up every Christmas at or before the crack of dawn, raced down the stairs, and tore in to our stockings to read our letters. Dad hand-wrote a special one for each of us every year and they were incredible. (My dad is a very talented writer and - sorry Dad - is a pretty mushy guy.) Both Morgan and I have saved all the letters to share with our children someday. Thank you, Dad!"
Denise Capato says, "The best memory I have of my father was when I was in the seventh grade. It was Valentine's Day and I was upset because I was one of the only girls in the class who had not received a rose delivered to her desk from a secret valentine. The next day, my father had one dozen long-stemmed roses delivered to me at school with a note that said, 'From your Forever Valentine.'"
Valerie Menos says, "One of the best memories I have of my father is when I would come home from college to visit and we would stay up late on the patio catching up and reminiscing about great times we had spent together when I was a child."
Liz Valme says, "The greatest memory I have of my father was when I was seven and the two of us drove from Chicago to Disney World. He made the long road-trip feel like a special adventure that he had created just for me."
Cristina Swetonik says, "My favorite memory of my dad was when my mom had to go out of town for a couple of days and left my dad in charge of me and my younger sisters and brothers. It was a non-stop party in the house. Ice-cream for lunch, slumber parties in the living room and baseball hats all weekend for me and my sisters because he couldn't do our hair. Our mom may not have been very amused upon her return, but we all still look back at that weekend and laugh hysterically!"
Ann Schepman says, "I have so many wonderful memories of my father but the one that stands out the most was on my wedding day. The look on my father's face and the tears in his eyes when he gave me away showed me just how much he truly loved me and would always think of me as his little girl."

Anonymously Yours From Team JAB
We publish JABBERS' first and last names with great pride. We are real people in our community ~ a premier, intimate network of trusted friends and neighbors. In fact, that's what people love most about JAB. But here at JAB, there's also a time and a place for discretion. Unlike other online services, JustAskBoo posts are filtered through an editor for quality control, providing anonymity for the most sensitive of matters. And in this brave new world of online overshare, this means your nosy neighbor can talk about her garden, and not your child's bedwetting! Happy JABBING!
