Lili Jolivert says, "This gift dates back to the COD days. When my daughter was nine years old, she saw a commercial for 27 pieces of jewelry for $27. The jewelry was advertised as being made out of 14 karat gold and genuine diamonds. She was so excited when it was delivered but didn't have the money to pay for it. She tried to convince the delivery person to take the few dollars she had and let her send the balance when she had saved up enough from her allowance. Of course, I stepped in and helped her out. 30 years later, I still have the jewelry."
