 More than ever, we care about "being green." Today, we are not only more aware, but we are all doing something to help combat waste and dwindling resources. We do what we can to contribute: we live in eco-friendly homes, use non-toxic, environmentally-friendly products, and even get tips from our children on growing sustainable gardens. The world's emerging consciousness about the state of the environment was commemorated by the very first Earth Day in 1970. Earth Day 2013 may address different issues than it did over four decades ago, but the goal is the same: a clean and healthy environment without the global warming that is wreaking havoc on our planet (and our modest, but fabulous, winter wardrobe).
