Andrea Gibson's Benefit for Our Very Own b Mann and Others
|
|---|
Dearest Community,
All things are coming up spring! One of my favorite things about spring is nationally touring, badass slam poet Andrea Gibson's annual benefit show (andreagibson.org). Last year, Andrea's show benefitted Out Boulder, and this year Andrea has extended the benefit show into a benefit tour! Andrea will be performing not one, but THREE shows across the Front Range in early May. On May 2 Andrea will perform at Shine Restaurant in Boulder, on May 4 Andrea returns to the Mercury Café in Denver, and on May 5 the tour wraps up with a show at Avogadro's Number in Fort Collins. Some of the proceeds from all of these shows will benefit a local cause: the Denver Youth Slam Team and my very own top surgery! Tickets for the Boulder and Denver shows are available (but going fast!) on brownpapertickets.com and tickets for the Fort Collins show can be purchased by calling 970-493-5555. Andrea's hometown shows are always special and inspiring community event! Buy Tickets now! These shows will sell out!

I hope to see you all!

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: Giddyup Kitty
|
|---|
Giddyup Kitty will perform on April 12 for the Second Annual Dancin' Divas Live Country Bluegrass Dance!
Giddyup Kitty is no stranger to the Boulder County GLBTQ community. If you have been to one of the Out Boulder Barn Dances in the last 2 years, or attended last year's Dancin' Divas Country Dance with Giddyup Kitty, you know the thrill of listening and dancing to their music!
Giddyup Kitty is an all-female, high-energy band that plays a variety of country and bluegrass tunes, weaving fine melodies with rich harmony. This group holds our community close to their hearts and enjoys playing for our dances as much as we enjoy dancing to their music! They expand their sets to include new country songs (throwing in a few slower songs for the not-as-nimble) and they even learned some line dances to play especially for us.
