I hope everyone went out and voted.  Hooray for lots of happy news for the LGBTQ community!  Now we can gay marry our marijuana on credit....or something.

Gwen, Shannon, Sylvia, and I were on a Speaking OUT panel at CU on Tuesday, and it was quite successful.  Each time I do a panel, I feel like I am really making a difference in the world.  And it's fun!  I'm talking about a subject I am an expert on: me!  If you missed the last training, be on the lookout for more in the future because this is an awesome program.  Speaking OUT is just one way you can volunteer; take a look at our events and projects for more.  

In other other news, I went to the Avenue Q fundraiser.  It was fantastic.  I love that musical, particularly the Bad Idea Bears.

Announcements: 

Office closed Thanksgiving Weekend

The Pridehouse office will be closed on the 22nd and 23rd for Thanksgiving.  Have lots of turkey and watch boring football. 

December 7th - Holiday Party

We will be having a party for the holiday season and you are invited.  So are all your friends, families, lovers and other strangers.  It will be 5-7p.m. at the Pridehouse.  I can't remember if it's a potluck, but bring food just in case because everyone loves free food. 

New Volunteer Opportunities:

Electrician Help

We're looking for a volunteer who's trained/qualified electrically. We're having a new phone service provider installed soon and we feel we might need new wires. Need someone to come by and check out our wiring situation. The house is old and the lines are dated.  Email Aubree if you can help. 

Holiday Party Volunteers 

We will need about 4 volunteers to help with our holiday party, helping to set up, greeting people as they come in, and helping with cleanup.  We'll need you from 4:30p.m. to about 7:30p.m.  Let me know if you'd like to help out.

Volunteer Program Assistant

Connect with the LGBT community! Help with our marketing efforts, office duties, health & wellness programs, and everything that makes Out Boulder tick! The ideal person will be organized, dependable, and available for a couple hours a week between Tuesday and Thursday, 9am-1pm. And if you really love it, you can certainly work more hours outside of the office! Contact Jen for more info.
