This has been a very unusual winter; periods of snow followed by rain, extreme cold followed by record warm temperatures. We have had the opportunity to enjoy skiing, hiking and many warm sunny afternoons. It feels more like April and Spring Fever has begun to set in. We are planning and preparing to help the coming months go smoothly and hope that you are as anxious to be back on the water as we are!
Our first boat show of the year is just a few weeks away. The Maine Boatbuilder's Show in Portland is March 18-20. It is a great gathering and a unique location. The atmosphere of the old Portland Company may be changing as part of a larger development project. If you are planning a trip to Portland this would be a great show to visit and enjoy what could the last time we exhibit in this vintage locomotive foundry. Please stop by to say 'hello' and take some time to discuss your Pisces or any of our brokerage listings.
We hope that our shoveling days are behind us Spring is not far behind.
Cheers,
Jean Beaulieu

Pisces Update
We have two Pisces under construction scheduled for late Spring delivery. 'Fig Tree' is in the process of having her wood trim installed (Coamings, sheer plank and wood doors). 'Skylark' has been moved from the wood shop to the finish bay where we have protected all non-wood surfaces and begun the lengthy process of staining and varnishing all the wood trim. The hull and decks will then be Awlgrip painted.

The owner of 'Serendipity', Pisces Hull #1 took advantage of the long 3 day President's weekend and set off solo for a trip from Almeda, CA to the St Francis Yacht Club. A trip of 19 miles that took 4 1/2 hours one way, averaging 4.3 knots against a 1-2 knot tide. He shared a beautiful video of sailing a slight 'detour' under and beyond the Golden Gate Bridge to the ocean on his way home. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. It helps pass the winter in New England!

|
'Pearl' in Bermuda recently changed hands and we wish to congratulate her new owners as they enjoy sailing the warm breezes near her home at the Royal Bermuda YC.
|
| | Congrats to Stephen on his 10th year anniversary |
We recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of Stephen Linscott at Classic Boat Shop. Stephen has worked on most of the Pisces in our shops through construction, service and, commissioning. We wish to thank him for his service and dedication over the years.
We have over two dozen Pisces (cold molded wood and fiberglass versions) in our care for the winter months spanning over 15 years of improvements and options. All are comfortably stored indoors and a visit to the yard is a wonderful opportunity to compare these beautiful boats and options at your leisure in our heated shops.
If you are considering a Pisces, New or Used please contact Jean to arrange a visit and sail.
