Classic Boat ShopMay 2015 News
....because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing.....(Author unknown)

From the tranquil waters of Bass Harbor, Maine to the excitement and activity of racing in Bermuda or the Volvo Ocean Race in Newport....Wow!  How many different venues, designs and events revolve around the ocean and boats? It is so great to be connected and see all that is happening, evolving and changing in the world of boating and yacht design.  One thing is certain: If you enjoy being on the water and it makes you happy, that time is well spent.  We are thrilled to be a part of helping to make that happen!

Boats, small or large, power or sail, modern or traditional....they all connect us to the water and bring happiness to many!

Pisces 21 Updates

The Pisces 21 'Lynx' is nearing completion and will soon be sailing in Cat's Cove near Stonington, Maine.  We posted photos from this week on our Pisces updates page.  If you haven't seen her progress start to finish we have a slide show on the Recent Launching page.

Teak cockpit soles and the electric drive on 'Lynx'

Decks have been painted on the next Pisces,  'Periwinkle'.  We will move her to the Acadia building next week to begin installation of the electric drive and deck hardware.  For recent photos please see the 'Periwinkle' Updates.

'Periwinkle' ready for deck hardware

The owner of 'Akela', 87 years young,  had been sailing his Pisces without auxiliary power since 2007.  He recently decided that it was time to install an electric drive. We completed the installation over the winter months and 'Akela' was launched last week in Bass Harbor where her owner is thrilled to be able to easily and quietly power in and out of his slip.

Lastly, we launched our 'Pisces 21'this week which will be available to sail in Bass Harbor or Southwest Harbor.  If you're interested in a Pisces, New or Used or would like to experience the electric drive, please contact Jean to arrange a visit and sail.
