It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! -
Mark Twain

It is time. We have had an incredible winter in Maine but our thoughts have definitely shifted gears to another season and we are excited! Shop doors are opening, activity around the yard is picking up and owners are stopping by to say 'hello' as they plan for Spring commissioning.

Anxiously awaiting spring launch!

We do have Spring fever and anxiously look forward to warm sunshine, green grass and making our way to the water once again!

Cheers,

Pisces 21 Updates
It has been a busy winter with three new Pisces under construction.  The first one was complated in time for the Maine Boatbuilder's show last month.  She will be sailed in Southwest Harbor this summer.  The other two nearing completion are: 'Lynx',  scheduled to be commissioned in May and delivered to her home in Cat Cove near  Stonington, Maine.  'Periwinkle' will be delivered by Jean  and commissioned in Marblehead, Mass in June. Both Pisces have chosen our electric drive installation for auxilliary power.  More photos of both boats under construction may be seen on our 'PIsces Updates' and 'Recent Launchings' Page.

We will be exhibiting the Pisces Daysailer at the Maine Boats Homes and Harbors Show in Rockland, Maine August 14-16 but you don't need to wait that long.  We also have a new Pisces complete with an electric drive in Southwest Harbor available for sails throughout the season. Please contact Jean if you would like to discuss options for your Pisces , schedule a visit to our yard in Maine or arrange sailing a beautiful new Pisces in Southwest Harbor while enjoying Acadia National Park!

Brokerage Update

We are constantly updating our listings with additions, photos and price changes. Please see our Current Brokerage Listings to peruse our diverse inventory of boats. For more information on these and other boats please contact Dave Gillespie.

Many of our borkerage listings have been detailed and prepped for Spring launching.  A great example is 'Syrah', a 34' Sarah cruising sailboat. She has had many upgrades and her interior is very clean and bright.  She is presently in heated storage, detailed and ready to launch.  More pictures may be seen on the detailed listing or, better yet....a visit to our yard will show you her true condition and value.

The Pisces 'Yankee' (fka 'Grace') recently sold and was transported to her new home in Newport Beach, California where she was promptly launched and currently sailing in the Pacific Ocean. We wish her new owner the very best with this special boat and many memorable sails. We have a selection of pre-owned Pisces Daysailers available which may be viewed at our yard or the Current Brokerage Listings page.

Service News

Our world is coming to life quickly! The final snowbank in the yard melted this week in time for our first launch of the season.  The Morris 42 'Alacrity' saw the light of day following a winter of work including installation of a new Chart plotter/radar in the cockpit and nav station, new mainsail , detailing all systems and seasonal paint and varnish work.   She is ready for another wonderful summer in her home waters of Christmas Cove.

The Bullseye 'Secunda' recently purchased by a brokerage customer has had a bit of a transformation over the past month.  Topsides were Awlgrip painted, trim stripped and varnished and a set of new sails added.  It's hard to believe it's the same boat and will give 'Secunda's new owner many memorable days sailing.
