Because there is no health without Mental Health!

TODAY IS DAY 32 OF THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION.

 

Cross Over day was Thursday, March 7th. Any bill which did not pass from one chamber to the other cannot pass out of this year's legislative session.

 

The final FY 2013 amended budget passed both the house and the senate. The Governor's decision to increase the revenue helped ease the way for passage until June. 

 

Bills which passed Cross Over day:

 

HR 107 - Sponsor Rep. Sheldon

Sets up a joint Medicaid Reform study committee

 

HB 78 - Sponsor Rep. Willard

Establishes enalties for abuse and exploitation of people with disabilities and seniors

 

SB 128 - Sponsor Sen. Millar

Allows marriage and family therapists to diagnose behavioral health issues

 

HR 502 - Sponsor Rep. Tanner

Creates a joint study committee on mental health and school violence

 

SB 62 - Sponsor Sen. Hill

Establishes a federal and state funded health care oversight committee

 

SB 163 - Sponsor Sen. Ligon

Establishes a Department of Community Health (DCH) study on Medicaid reform

 

On Wednesday, March 13th Senator Unterman and Representative Neal will host a Behavioral Health Causcus meeting at 1:00pm in CLOB room 606.
