ACTS Service Surge

Mark your calendars! The Service Surge

is scheduled for May 16th.

We are looking for volunteers willing to help plan the Service Surge. ACTS only exists because of our volunteers..YOU are ACTS!

If you are interested in being a part of the planning team..kick off meetings have been scheduled. Please contact Breanne at bpatel@actsofiowa.org.

Currently, the communities of Chariton, Indianola, Oskaloosa, Pella and Prairie City are planning a Service Surge.

We are looking for volunteers to help plan a Surge in Knoxville. We have a couple projects already, but looking for individuals passionate about serving to help plan in the Knoxville community.

Do you know someone who would benefit from volunteer labor on their home? We are looking for projects in which we can help individuals on during the Service Surge. Typical projects include: painting, yard clean up, general carpentry or wheelchair ramps. (Projects would need to be something that could be completed in one day).

To discuss a potential project need, please contact ACTS (641-780-4503 or bpatel@actsoiowa.org).

ACTS Receives Grant

ACTS received a grant for $1,000 from the Pella Community Foundation in order to support the Service Surge!

Pella Community Foundation's basic purpose is to preserve the heritage and enhance the quality of life for the people of Pella by facilitating the transfer of funds from the hands of people who wish to help others into the hands of the non-profit organizations that can do it most effectively.

The Foundation is "donor friendly". It exists to help donors and to facilitate the giving process. People do not give to the Foundation, they give through the Foundation. Visit their website at  www.pellacommunityfoundation.org.

Thank you!
