2013 Service Surge: Mark your calendars for May 11th (rain date: June 1).
 
2013 Service Surge Planning Meeting: We are still looking for volunteers who feel called to be a part of the dreaming / planning team. We plan to host the 1st Service Surge Planning Meeting on Wednesday, January 30th from 7-8 pm at the ACTS Building located at 107 Vermeer Road in Pella. If you are interested, please reply to this email or call 641-780-4503.
  
Vermeer Volunteer Time Off: Vermeer is offering a great program to their Pella-based employees.  Employees have the opportunity to utilize 8 hours of paid time off to volunteer his or her time helping others.  If you are a Vermeer employee looking for an opportunity in the community we would be happy to connect you.

Roofing
Gutter and Sheeting install - Attica
Roofing Project- Attica - postponed til Spring

On your schedule

 

We've been contacted by a woman in Attica with a roof that needs re-roofed and gutters installed.   It does not appear to be highly difficult, it's pretty straight forward.

 

Volunteers Needed: 4-6 (Currently, 2 volunteer is signed up)

Project Time: 6 hrs

Drop off your cans and bottles to support ACTS!         
Pop Can
  
 You can now support ACTS by dropping off your cans & bottles  inside our outdoor shed 24/7/365.  Here are a couple of guidelines.
  • Please bring your empty cans & plastic bottles in bags (not loose).
  • Please keep glass separate from cans & plastic bottles. Very soon we'll have shelves installed in the shed where you can place bottles in their boxes.
  • Please put your cans & bottles inside the shed.
  • Please make sure the door is securely shut when you leave.

  • Kitchen Tables & Chairs
  • Empty 1 gal. ice cream buckets (for painting)
Items we DO NOT accept: 
  • TVs
  • Items in need of repair or that are unsafe
  • Soiled furniture items
