Updated notice of trustee and officer nominations

 

Please note: Some web browsers may have truncated the list of continuing chamber trustees listed in this morning's email about the annual meeting and election of officers. The correct list appears on the Chamber's website under the annual meeting event listing and is recapped below. If your email did not display the last name on the list -- Cheryl Raudabaugh from NextDay Signs -- as a continuing trustee, please review the list below and the website list for clarification. Following are the trustee and officer candidates who have been recommended, interviewed and vetted by the nominating committee, further recommended by a vote of the executive committee, and approved by the full board of trustees. At the annual meeting, the slate will be approved by the general membership of the chamber by a verbal vote from one representative of each Business Member, as defined in the chamber's bylaws. Any additional feedback or nominations from the general membership must be received within 10 days of this announcement

 

TRUSTEE ELECTIONS
For three-year trustee terms ending in February 2017, the nominees are:
  • Alyssa Booms- Fifth Third Bank
  • Michelle Garrett - Garrett Public Relations
  • Rob Grubaugh- Royal Document Destruction
  • Michael Maurer - The Boling & Maurer Group
  • Leslie Cady McFadden- HER Realtors - Worthington Office
Additionally, recommended for a two-year term ending in February 2016, replacing the unexpired term of Mona Deringer, is:
  • Sean Stark - Primerica Inc.
In addition to these candidates, the board chair may, as permitted by Chamber bylaws, appoint up to two additional members to serve one-year terms on the board. The appointments are made immediately following the election of the new board chair. The chair is expected to announce two appointments on Feb. 18.

BOARD OFFICER ELECTIONS
The recommended slate of officers for the coming year is as follows. These are one-year terms from February 2014 through February 2015.
  • Chair: Russ Kromminga - Lake Business Products
  • Chair-Elect: Craig Bringman - Craig W. Bringman Co., LPA, LCC
  • Treasurer: Bill Owens - Owens Construction Contracting Co.
GIVE A HAND TO RETIRING TRUSTEES ...
Retiring from our board at the annual meeting on Feb. 18 will be these trustees. Each of them has brought distinctive contributions of time, talent and/or treasure to the Chamber leadership team.
  • Ann Baldwin - Mary Kay Cosmetics
  • Joe Davis -business consultant
  • Pat Bright - individual member; formerly Comfort Inn Polaris
  • Amy Hall - DeVry University
  • Mona Deringer -OSU Wexner Medical Center (retiring before end of term)
  • Natalie Moore - CFBank (one-year appointee completing term)
