Recreating the Magic of an Amy Johnson Flight
The intrepid aviator Tracey Curtis-Taylor recently completed the same flight that Amy Johnson undertook in 1930 from Great Britain to Australia. In doing so, she completed 13,000 miles through 23 countries in her 14 week journey. Tracey flew in an open cockpit biplane, landing in Sydney on 9th January this year.
The next stage is for Tracey's Boeing Stearman 'Spirit of Artemis' to be shipped to America in advance of continuing her round the world trip and flying across the USA just as Amy did in 1930. For more information visit www.birdinabiplane.com.
